Pretty in Pastels

All things blush and pale pink have taken ahold of our wardrobes for the last few seasons, so it was only a matter of time before soft, muted versions of nearly every shade of the rainbow worked their way into our closets too. (Though that’s not to say we’re quite done with Millennial pink yet either.)

While pastels aren’t necessarily a surprising spring trend, what sets spring 2018’s version of pale hues apart is their subdued look — meaning you don’t have to worry about looking like an Easter egg while trying this trend. Wear one as a statement piece by pairing it with neutrals, or go all-out and pile on a few like street style stars were seen doing at New York Fashion Week.

Whether you’re into pale blue or shades of lilac and lavender, we have you covered this spring. IRO’s Clay Tee in Pink, Blank NYC’s Blushing Hard Moto Jacket, and Mother Denim’s Rascal Jeans will all keep the blush trend going strong. For lilac, look no further than the Free People Damsel Pullover and Free People Gallon Racerback Bralette, which looks amazing under a white tee or dress. Feeling blue? Try the Equipment Lucinda Cashmere Sweater (no need to wait until warm weather to try this trend!) or Brochu Walker’s Madsen Shirtdress. Of course, you can always accessorize with a subtle Gorjana Power Gemstone Bracelet in pale pink or aquamarine or the Kaanas Montauk Espadrilles.
