Before MISA clothing designer Shadi Askari-Farhat pursued a fulltime fashion career, she sewed handbags from vintage fabric in her free time. In 2001, all that changed when she launched Tbags Los Angeles, a line of boho bags and casual dresses. Fifteen years later, Askari-Farhat introduced follow-up label, MISA (a combination of her two daughters’ names, Milla and Sayeh). Equally inspired by exotic travels and nomadic fashion, MISA Los Angeles apparel offers refreshingly feminine designs with freespirited details, like embroidered rompers, pom-pom bag charms, off-shoulder tops.
